I mean, I guess that might explain the warning I got at the start of the demo. Well, I guess we’re nearly done with the cute part of the game, and we’re about to see its true colors. Know what? Show me what you’ve got, I’ve been waiting for whatever surprise you’re about to give us. I guess I’ll see what my room is like.

Huh. It’s designed to be bland. I think… I think we actually are supposed to just leave. I guess down the stairs?

Flowey:Oh! You see, down there’s the way out of the RUINs. But once you leave, you can’t come back. And she… I think she doesn’t want to lose you again… Though she doesn’t seem to recognize you, does she think you’re someone else?

Also, she really does make good pies! We should really have one of them before we leave. She’s making it right now. Maybe you could talk with her again in the meantime? …Or you can take a nap.
Oh, right, I can interact with Toriel! I should try checking all I can in the meantime. If this really is the end, checking things is all that’s left.

And she said we should just take a nap. Looks like the game REALLY wants us to take a nap! That does seem like the only choice, so I’ll just do that.

Flowey:That’s some nice pie! Hey, can we split it?
*Flowey eats half of the pie.
Flowey:You have the other half! Or you can save it! You might need to heal in the middle of battle, and this pie… oh, it’s so good it heals you straight to maximum HP!
Anyway, I’m going to see if I can calm her down some. You’re…
Oh. Actually, I think I know what it is. Remember when I said things were different this time around? It’s not just here in the RUINS. The king has… I think we’ll have to prove to Toriel you can stay safe out there. I’m going to try and talk to her. There has to be some way you can prove yourself, right? And that room of yours doesn’t look very good.
When you’re ready to leave, tell her that. Until then, enjoy what time you have with her. But do remember to leave eventually! You can’t stay here forever… or you’ll miss out on the REAL fun!
Okay, Flowey! I’ll just check the rest of this house and interact with her a few times first.

Well, I guess everyone has something they’re not good at. Huh, so it was human attacks… Um, was it the humans that started this war? Why’d they attack? I used to actually think that was just backstory to explain why the monsters are underground. There’s more to this? Oh wait, of course there’s more, this is a Toby Fox game! The guy who hid an entire route behind pressing the B button in a prompt that looked like it had only one option!

Flowey:She did always love her puns… why, even my name was a pun! I know someone on the other side of the RUINs that does puns a lot more, though. Actually, two of them! Don’t tell the taller one I said that, though! …He doesn’t like his being compared to the smaller ones’ puns.
Huh? Flowey, she’s the one that gave you that name? I guess that makes sense, we did find you in the RUINs. Although you were looking for us there? …But I did see those plants around the house, And I guess it makes sense a flower wouldn’t usually get names. But that name does look like a pun alright!
