Underverse is a fan made animation series made by Jael Penaloza on Youtube. Underverse is an AU that supposedly takes place after X-Tale, Sans, now Cross, ends up going to each pacifist timeline within an AU and tries to take it himself, with help from Cross!Chara (X-Event!Chara) and Nightmare!Sans.
The Truce takes place before X-Tale, in which Error!Sans and Ink!Sans both create a truce, supposedly for the better of the multiverse. No more destruction no more creation.
Underverse brings the concept of a certain power known as OVERWRITING. It allows the person to OVERWRITE certain objects or characters within a timeline itself or the AU if the user has the full soul of OVERWRITE, such as changing stories, changing characters, changing behaviour, and possibly destroying a timeline or an AU itself; examples include the Underswap AU, and possibly the X-Tale AU. This behaviour is only doable by X-Chara, as he has half of XGaster's soul.
As the story progresses, Ink!Sans goes and enlists the help of many Sanses (Underswap, Undertale, Underfell) from different AU's to help stop X-Chara and Cross!Sans.
Characters[]
Cross[]
Cross Sans is from the X-Tale AU. After taking X-Tale!Chara's soul, his world was destroyed and. Because he wasn't able to use the OVERWRITE ability to restore his world, he ended up in a blank void with X-Tale!Chara sealed in his body. Soon after, Cross met Ink!Sans and the two became friends. Nightmare!Sans approached him, and with his help, Cross was able to move between AUs. Cross started stealing parts of codes from other AUs in hopes of rebuilding X-Tale. Cross was capable of using some of X!Chara's abilities when x!Chara is awake, including summoning a giant determination knife.
X-Tale!Chara[]
After the original X-Tale universe was destroyed, X-Tale!Chara was sealed in Cross' body due to him taking his soul. At first Cross and Chara fought for control of the body they were sharing, often switching back and forth. X!Chara extremely determined, allowing him to exist as a ghost-like entity. His main goal is to steal a human soul to restore his body, as he wants to destroy the remaining half of X!Gaster's soul due to his intense hatred of X!Gaster. He almost manages to steal most of Swap!Chara's soul, but he gets stopped in procces. Whilst trying to obtain a new soul with the help of Nightmare, all of his plans utterly fail when X!Gaster's soul is released. He makes X!Chara's soul whole, choosing to forgive them for their 'antics', and trusting him not to act against him again.
Ink!Sans[]
In the prequel story X-Tale, Ink and X!Gaster became friends. X!Gaster decided to trust Ink and gave Ink half of his own soul to protect.
At the beginning of Underverse, Ink has an ongoing truce with Error!Sans, agreeing not to create any AUs and Error not destroying any in return. When the new X-Tale universe is created, Ink feels its presence and goes to investigate, only to discover an empty void with nothing but one person - Cross. After a while, the two became friends. When Ink tells Cross that he can't bring back the dead, it breaks Cross. After Cross took half of Classic!Sans' soul, Ink got his and other Sanses to team up in order to retreive it as well as to stop Cross' and X!Chara's plans. This, however, was later revealed to be an act to help X!Gaster with his plan.
X!Gaster[]
A delusional and controlling Gaster who was never satisfied with his world, frequently overwriting it in hopes of making it perfect. He got attacked by his creations multiple times. He almost dies when X!Chara made them remember all the timelines. X!Gaster is released when Ink!Sans breaks the vial containing half his soul, proceeding to kill Underfell!Sans and Underswap!Sans, deeming that they have seen too much. He sends Classic!Sans back to his own universe.
Error!Sans[]
Error made a truce with Ink!Sans and agreed not to destroy any 'anomalies' in turn of Ink not creating any. Error stole Cross' soul at the beginning of Underverse. Error decides to destroy all AUs after discovering X!Tale and believing, that Ink has broken their truce.
Classic!Sans[]
After being attacked and having half of his soul stolen by Cross, he met Ink!Sans. He is the first to be recruited by Ink and is the only Sans to get back home when X!Gaster is released.
Underfell!Sans[]
Underfell!Sans is the second Sans that Cross attacks. He was overwritten and controlled by X-Tale!Chara temporarily. Resents Cross for destroying Snowdin and agrees to go with Ink and Classic!Sans to get at him, as well as to escape his brother who blames him for Snowdin's destruction.
Underswap!Sans[]
Meets with Ink, Underfell and Classic Sans after they show up in his universe. In the end his brother stays behind in their crumbling world with a fatally wounded Underswap!Chara, pushing Underswap!Sans out of the universe before it is destroyed.
Underswap!Chara[]
After Ink, Underfell and Classic Sans come into their universe, Chara goes along with them and Underswap!Sans to fight Cross. When Cross was knocked unconscious, Chara got too close while inspecting them and allowed X-Tale!Chara to steal nearly all of their soul. They get fatally wounded, and Underswap!Papyrus stays with them while the universe is destroyed.
Killer!Sans[]
Partners with Nightmare to help obtain a soul for X!Chara. He says that he remembers what X!Chara did to Classic!Sans, as he comes from an Alternative Timeline of Undertale. He killed Outertale!Sans.
Outertale!Sans[]
Assists Sans upon discovering the skeleton in his AU, only to have his soul destroyed by Killer!Sans soon after.
Dream!Sans[]
Although Dream has had an argument with Ink before the events of Underverse, he still helps Ink out however he's able to. He watched over Cross as well as helped out Classic!Sans and Underfell!Sans teleport between AUs.
Nightmare!Sans[]
Nightmare agrees to take Cross to Alternate Universes in exchange for causing negative feelings to their inhabitants, something that Nightmare feeds off of. When Cross starts stepping out of line, Nightmare is quick to put him in his place and remind him who's in charge.
Core!Frisk[]
They spoke to Classic!Sans about how to defeat Cross, as well as invited Cross to come to the Omega Timeline. Thanks to their help, Cross and Dream were able to defeat Nightmare.
Fresh!Sans[]
