Undertale Rho is an Undertale Alternate Universe created by Ioannis Argyris that serves greatly in expanding the universe of Undertale, presented primarily in the form of novels and short stories. At present, the entirety of the universe of Undertale Rho (taken short-hand to be Universe Rho or UnTR-13PO in-universe[1]) is shrouded in mystery. While still holding close to the original story told in Undertale, Undertale Rho is not beholden to it, and some elements from Undertale are rewritten entirely.
Presently, the main Undertale-based story—Underearth—has been completed. Within, Frisk, the main Point-of-View character, traversed the Underground—a geographical territory held entirely within and below a mountain called Mount Ebott filled with a species collectively known as the Monsters—a grand total of eight times, with one being a Neutral path, two being peaceful, and the other five being filled with bloodshed.
Within the first path, identified in-universe as World 192 (W192), Frisk awoke within the Underground for the first time ever next to a pocketwatch, and was led by the goat-Monster—Toriel—to her home at the path's end of the Royal Watchtower. Within Toriel's home, while lying on the bed given to him, Frisk's memory of the events just before his fall sparked back, and a DETERMINATION for JUSTICE pushed him forward to leave the Underground entirely. Eventually, after having traveled through the Snowdin Province, the Waterfall Caves, and the Hotlands, Frisk had made it to the Elysium Palace, where the King of all Monsters—Asgore Dreemurr—lay in wait. After killing Asgore and another nuisance, Frisk left the Underground, in thirst for vengeance. The vengeance he cut his way through the Underground for, as revealed at the end of Underearth: A Whole New World, was to kill his brother, William. Once it is complete, Frisk receives a phone-call from Sans, telling him about the events that have taken place within the Underground over the course of Frisk leaving and murdering William. Filled with regret at what he'd done, Frisk—with help from the pocketwatch he found upon waking—RESET to the point in which he first fell into the Underground.
The second book, while mostly existing within World 193 (W193), starts with its prologue taking place before Frisk fell into the Underground. Within the prologue, it's shown that Frisk is homeless, and must scrounge his way through the city he lives in—Athens—just to eat. Upon meeting with a friend of his, Artemis, Frisk and Artemis head out into the surrounding wilderness to finish and test a bow they'd been working on. After they return to the city with a dead rabbit, Frisk encounters his brother, William, who promply knocks him out. Returning to the Underground in W193, Frisk slowly works his way through, befriending everyone he possibly can. At the end, in the Elysium Palace, Frisk is confronted by his six chief friends, who are swiftly captured by Flowey—a murderous Monster. Flowey, while everyone was distracted, absorbed the six Human SOULs that Asgore had collected over the years, and was ready to take the SOULs of everyone in the Underground as well, starting with Frisk's. With Frisk's friends defending him, Flowey uses his power to simply absorb everyone's SOULs from right there in the palace, inadvertantly turning himself into his true form; Asriel Dreemurr. Through some connection with Asriel's SOUL, Frisk managed to weasel his way into it and turn his SOUL against him. With Asriel defeated, and everyone freed with the destruction of the Barrier at Asriel's hand, Frisk and the Monsters head out for the surface. Once on the surface, Frisk leaves his Monster friends and heads back to Athens, where he finds Artemis and her sister Amelia. Spending the next few weeks with them, the trio eventually stumble upon a Monster being assaulted by an at-the-time unknown Human. Moving to confront the Human, Frisk discovers that it was his brother, William. William, in thanks for Frisk murdering him in the previous World, murders him right back, and captures Artemis and Amelia for his own amusement. Frisk, in a void of life, then speaks with an entity that promises to give him the power to protect his friends at a price far steeper than he realized at the time. Upon accepting the bargin, Frisk RESETs back to the point at which he first awoke in the Underground.
The third book, just as the second, begins with its prologue taking place before Frisk fell, continuing the story of the previous book's prologue. Within the prologue, Frisk wakes up in the bed of a truck, tied up within a burlap sack. When the truck stops, Frisk is carted out and set before a hole inside a deep recess in Mount Ebott. Frisk and William then talk for a minute before William kicks Frisk into the hole, whereupon Frisk falls to his death. After William leaves, the pocketwatch appears and revives Frisk. Jumping back to the present in World 194 (W194), Frisk begins his hunt in the Citadel, slicing through every Monster in his path. When he first tried to murder Toriel back when he first met her, however, he found something within him that was stopping him from following through. Eventually, at the end of the Citadel in her home, Frisk ended Toriel's life. Continuing his slaughter of the Underground, Frisk cut down all in the Snowdin Province, then again in the Waterfall Caves, where he met his first unbeatable challenge in the shape of Undyne. When he finally cut her down, Frisk continued through the Hotlands, up to Elysium, where he found Sans. Slicing through him after a long, arduous battle, Frisk continued through to the throne room, where he murdered Asgore and finally Flowey. In the next moment, another Human appeared, who called herself Chara. In a flash, Chara seized Frisk's knife and stabbed him in the gut, killing him.

Aamir Karim
Main article: Aamir Karim
Aamir Karim is a Monster Frisk first sees in Chapter 11 of Underearth: A Whole New World. Aamir is then seen throughout the duration of Part 3. At the end of Part 3, it is blatantly revealed that Frisk finds Aamir annoying, though still moves to save him when he trips over a bridge.
It is implied that in Underearth: Replay, Frisk saved Aamir instead of Undyne in W193.
Alphys Aleulum
Main article: Alphys Aleulum
Alphys Aleulum is a Kerasaurus that lives at the base of Mount Hot. She is the Dreemurr Royal Scientist and watches over the Outskirts to detect any insurrection and warn the capital before it gains too much power. She assists Frisk progress through Mount Hot in Part 4 of Underearth: A Whole New World.
In Underearth: Replay, much is expanded upon why Alphys acts so reclusively. She lacks any sense of self-confidence, so much so that she commonly sets herself below others in her head. In Part 2 of the same book, it is revealed that she, attempting to follow in the footsteps of Dr. Gaster, injected a material known as DETERMINATION into dying Monsters, and transformed them into hulking, melting monstrosities. She then went on to hide this from everybody, futher destroying herself mentally. At the end of Part 2 of the same book, Alphys decides to reveal the horrible truth to everybody. In Part 3 of the same book, she is one of the six to be captured by Flowey, directly interacted with by Frisk when he was fighting Asriel, and among the first Monsters to take their first look at the sun in hundreds of years.

In Part 3 of Underearth: Replay, just before he and Frisk fought, Toriel stepped in to stop the fight. Not much else is known about him, as "it's against the rules to talk to customers who haven't bought anything."
Within Underearth: Vengeance, it's shown that Birgir is extremely cocky in the face of unknown threats, given that he acts highly relaxed around Frisk, who even stated that he was the one murdering everyone. Upon being told this, Birgir simply grabbed a stool and sat back in a relaxed posture, saying "Sorry, little weirdo. Threats don't work on me. I can't go to hell. I'm all out of vacation days." Frisk responds to this cockyness by leaping over the counter and sinking the dagger into Birgir's throat.
Charon Gaster
Main article: Charon Gaster
Charon Gaster is a mysterious Monster that loves to ride his boat on a river that circles the Underground, known to the people in the Outskirts as the Acheron River. He is very much a passive character until Part 2 of Underearth: Sozo, where he had been rallied by Calibri to fight Frisk. He is shown to be a master of illusions, using these powers much more so in his second fight against Frisk to cut off all outside sensations and replace them with a world of his own crafting. It's possible that the reason he couldn't do this to Frisk during their first fight was because he didn't have a Human SOUL supplying him great power at the time.

Calibri Gaster
Main article: Calibri Gaster
Calibri Gaster is an enigma for much of published material, having briefly appeared in both chapters 2 & 3 of Underearth: Replay as "a humanoid figure draped in a leather-brown cloak". Within Underearth: Sozo, Calibri directly interfered in Frisk's progression twice, first by blasting his arm of with a 50cal in chapter 3, and again by blowing up Snowdin Heights, collapsing the plateau into the Basin in chapter 6. Within chapter 8, the Timepiece tells Frisk that Calibri is his only hope if he wishes to actually save Chara from LOV's grasp.
Calibri was the reason for the events of Part 2 unfolding as they did, as he spent the beginning portions of W198 rallying his uncle, Serif, and the Homeguard of the City of Home to slow Frisk down or perhaps even stop him. Once the Citadel had been defended, he then went to other parts of the Underground rallying a number of other Monsters to hold the line against the unrelenting Human. Later on, he was also the one who managed to distribute the Human SOULs to Gerson, Undyne, Charon, and Mettaton.
Meeting directly with Frisk in Part 3, the two faught, though due to Frisk being able to respawn with the help of the Timepiece, he eventually failed and died. Having his SOUL captured by Frisk, he was carried forward to see that Chara had retured and was the one that possessed LOV instead of Frisk. Upon being sent to an unknown place, Calibri's SOUL was released, which allowed him to reforge a magical body and help Frisk defeat Chara.
Ebott Charaktiras
Ebott Charaktiras is somebody mentioned by Asgore about half-way through Chapter 1 of Underearth: Replay when he was interogating Chara on her name.

The Pocketwatch Timepiece
The Timepiece is a mysterious entity that resides within, or perhaps is, the pocketwatch Frisk originally found back at the beginning of Underearth: A Whole New World. It is capable of manipulating time seemingly without limit, and is shown to be highly intelligent, perhaps even omniscient. Despite this vast reservoir of knowledge, the Timepiece seems very selective in what questions it will answer, despite saying its open to any (relevant) question, being more focused on achieving its own unknown goals.

He is first met talking with Toriel before suddenly attacking Frisk upon spotting him. While Frisk and Serif spoke before they faught to kill each-other, Serif is commonly found speaking another language, insulting Frisk with these words at times as well. Upon losing the fight, his SOUL is absorbed by Frisk, giving him more spells to work with.
LOV
LOV is a powerful parasitic entity that grows on the SOULs of those that wish it to grow. Upon reaching a certain strength and size, LOV is capable of preforming its own magic, using its host as a thaumaturge go-between or summoning a poltergeist to channel its own magic. LOV serves as the main antagonist for Underearth: Sozo.
William Anendotos
Main article: William Anendotos
William Jones Anendotos is a Human male who is mentioned throughout the book Underearth: A Whole New World as an italicized him or some other italicized male pronoun. He is finally introduced in the Epilogue of the same book as a serial thief, mugger, kidnapper, and murder-rapist. He is revealed to be the brother of Frisk a few paragraphs before Frisk murders him. He was originally inspired off of Frisky from Under(her)tail, among others.
He makes more appearances in the Prologue and Epilogue of Underearth: Replay as well as the Prologue of Underearth: Vengeance. In the two Prologues, we learn that it was William that caused Frisk to end up in the Underground in the first place, and we learn that in the Epilogue of Underearth: Replay, he is completely broken, possibly a side-effect of remembering being murdered by Frisk in the previous World.
Locations
Undertale Locations
Mount Ebott
Main article: Mount Ebott
Mount Ebott is a lone mountain located on Earth near the boarder of two countries. The mountain is mostly hollow, containing what is known as the Underground. The mountain is considered a restricted area due to the high number of people that have gone to the mountain and never returned; also due to this fact, the mountain has been nicknamed "Suicide Mountain".
The Underground
Main article: The Underground
The Underground is a massive cavern inside and underneath Mount Ebott. Within its confines lies the Kingdom of the Monsters as well as the last remaining sentient non-Humans on Earth. The Underground has been referred to as "Hades" by Asgore, the king of the Monsters, and was the most common name for the area before the Monsters switched to using English as their main language.
The Citadel
Main article: The Citadel
The Citadel is a fortress wall surrounding the Ruins of Home. It was fully erected just a few weeks after the start of the Monsters' imprisonment inside Mount Ebott on top of the Home Plateau. When compared to Undertale, a small section of the Citadel takes the place of the explorable area of the Ruins. Charon occasionally passes through when on his boat, following the Acheron River. When carrying Frisk, Charon uses Illusion Magic to hide the Citadel, the City of Home, and Oldtown from them. Normal passengers only have the Citadel and the City of Home hidden from them.
The City of Home
The City of Home was the first city founded in the Underground. It was mostly abandoned in 1408, but a few Monsters decided to remain behind. In modern day, the city itself still holds and is maintained by roughly 200,000 Monsters, including Toriel Dreemurr and the Winged Skeleton.
Snowdin Province
Main article: Snowdin Province
The Snowdin Province is the second smallest province within the Underground. It is divided into two major sections, one part within the Monster Basin, the other dwells within the Outskirts. The part within the Monster Basin is known as Snowdin Forest, while the part within the Outskirts is known as Snowdin Heights. Snowdin Town is also located within the province, in Snowdin Heights, and acts as the capital of the province. The greatest defining feature of the Snowdin Province is that it is constantly covered completely in snow, and the fact that it has its own weather system that co-ops with Helios Station.
Waterfall Caves
Main article: Waterfall Caves
The Waterfall Caves is a cave system located within the Outskirts. It is a very wet march that has a very unique ecosystem, and numerous wildlife that can only be found within certain parts of the Waterfall Caves. The Waterfall Caves also holds the only "natural" way into Tartarus. There are only two settlements in the Waterfall Caves: The capital of the Waterfall Caves is the Quiet Village, which holds the smallest population of Monsters within the Underground; and Temmie Village, which is only inhabited by the Temmies.
Mount Hot
Main article: Mount Hot
Mount Hot is a hollow volcanic mountain surrounded by the Phlegethon River located within the Outskirts, and holds the only remaining safe pathway into the Monster Basin, save the section of the Acheron River that passes through Oldtown. Mount Hot is primarily a military base for the Monster Army, but has not been used as such since the decades following the Monster Civil War. Atop Mount Hot is the MTT Resort, which used to be an apartment building built in honor to the deceased prince and princess of the Kingdom of the Monsters.
The Hidden Lab
The Hidden Lab is the laboratory hidden underneath Alphys's Laboratory. Its walls held the unethical experiments of the SOUL AURA EMPOWERMENT PROJECT.
CORE
The CORE is a massive power production complex that produces all the power in the Underground. It was designed by Dr. Wing Gaster in 1604 and constructed under his supervision. To avoid having to explain the process energy is created, he simply stated that it turns heat into electricity. Centuries later, after Wing had disappeared, Alphys had found a book on geothermal energy and assumed that that was how the CORE functions. In reality, the CORE is indeed not a geothermal plant but instead a nuclear fusion reactor. The CORE is situated entirely within Mount Hot, save for Helios Station.
Helios Station
Helios Station is the only part of the CORE that is outside the structure of Mount Hot. Its purpose is to emit the light created during the fusion reaction within the CORE into the rest of the Underground, essentially acting as an artificial sun.
The City of New Home
Main article: The City of New Home
The City of New Home is the largest city in the Underground, taking up the majority of the Monster Basin and spilling into the Outskirts in the form of Oldtown. The city itself was the pride and joy of most Monsters, as it was a symbol of defiance to the Humans due to the founding reason being that the Monsters had stopped fearing them.
Elysium
Elysium is a chunk of rock that hangs in the air above the City of New Home. Elysium holds the largest contingent of Elysian Guards in the Underground as well as the Dreemurr Palace. There is an elevator extending from Helios Station ending just outside the Dreemurr Palace in Elysium.
The Dreemurr Palace
The Dreemurr Palace is a grand palace that sits atop Elysium. The very top of the structure is in contact with the upper edge of Mount Ebott, allowing for quick and easy access to the Barrier. Within the palace is a garden throne room, located at the top, as well as long pathways at the edge of the structure that lead from the house section all the way up to the throne room. Just behind the throne room is a small cave that connects to the outside. The garden within the Dreemurr Palace is the second throne room garden within the Underground.
Added Locations

Tartarus
Tartarus is a vast, unexplored area of the Underground whose ceiling lies half a mile underneath the Monster Basin. Only a handful of Monsters even know of the existence of Tartarus, and they've yet to say anything of it because they're past enemies of the state, are deep in hiding, or are simply unable to tell anyone of it due to death or some other such event.
Story
Long ago, two races ruled over the Earth: Humans and Monsters. One day, war broke out between the two races. After the long war, the Humans were victorious. They sealed the Monsters inside a mountain with a Magic Spell. Years down the line, the mountain was deemed unsafe by officials from many going to the mountain, and never returning. The mountain, named Mount Ebott by ancients that dwell in the area, was nicknamed Suicide Mountain for that very fact. Frisk, a poor young boy, was a Human ancient that one day found himself falling down a hole within the Mountain, entering the world below. Will he survive the fall?
