Underforest is an AU where Undertale is in a forest setting instead of the Underground. The characters all have nature-themed attire and attacks. There are many clothes made out of nature much of which is green, brown and yellow which are the colors of leaves, dirt and flowers.The official canon of Underforest is stated to follow the exact same theme as the Undertale game’s playthrough. However instead of the monsters getting banished to the underground the monsters instead get banished to the forest and get blocked off from civilization from a strong, magic-proof wall. Essentially, the Pacifist, Neutral, and Genocide routes apply here as well, and the character personalities are a little bit changed. The Monsters also turn into fertilizer.

Frisk[]
Frisk, a young human girl, stood on top of "The Forest Wall" thinking she would seem cool if she stood on it, but she fell into the forest. Upon her fall, she got a journal where she draws stuff she sees on the underground. She is also very talkative to other people, and is very curious about stuff
Toriel[]
Toriel, once the queen of the forest, abandoned her throne due to her believing Asgore killed a human. Toriel lives a reclusive life, really protective of Frisk, as she sees the ruins monsters as potential threats. Despite her exterior, she acts as a loving mother figure to children in need.
Flowey[]
Flowey, seems to have more aggression than before, targeting Frisk but deciding to retreat after realizing Frisk's ability to return to life. So they decide to observe Frisk's actions from a distance.
Napstablook[]
Napstablook, a sad and shy ghost inhabiting a dummy near Mad Dummy, successfully preventing Mad Dummy from killing the human. After the battle, Napstablook emerges from the dummy, gaining their courage and showing their ghost form.
Sans[]
Sans, known for his humor, constantly lightens the atmosphere with jokes and pranks, aiming to uplift everyone despite his lack of hope. He has a hood and a scarf for both warmth and style, Sans treasures his brother deeply, even if they don't see each other that much.
Papyrus[]
Papyrus is one of the main protagonists in Underforest. He is in the flower guard, showing that he was strong enough to join the guard. His dedication extends to protecting Sans and motivating him to become less lazy, while his personality closely like his Undertale counterpart.
Grillby[]
Grillby, once a member of the flower guard who retired after a confrontation with the 6th Human, he now has the role of a therapist to the monsters. He listens attentively to their problems, trying to uplift spirits by making drinks made out of berries. His flames also is purple instead of being orange.
Undyne[]
Undyne, captain of the flower guard, appears intimidating but displays loyalty to those she trusts. She hides her eyes with flowers, due to to a injury, Undyne has xceptional hearing, and uses that to her advantage when in battle. She also can tell a lot about a person just by touching them, she is very determined to do justice for the monsters and will never give up.
Alphys[]
Alphys is a nurse, she usually has Undyne by her side, so Undyne could ensuring her safety while gathering healing berries. She often will hang out with orders when she isn't working, but usually is quiet. Alphys engages in her work, prioritizing the well-being of monsters.
Mettaton[]
Mettaton, Alphys's assistant, has a self-serving nature, he uses electricity from trash he found that was tossed over. He also usually forgets his two cousins. Him wanting to be admired led him to the role of a nurse's assistant, with indifference towards Napstablook and irritation towards Mad Dummy.
Muffet[]
Muffet, resembling a tarantula, is a thief, stealing items for profit. She's really greedy and will do anything for money, even killing anybody.
Asgore[]
Asgore, the misunderstood forest king, stands accused of cold-blooded acts by Toriel due to his history of confronting human children. He just wanted to revenge his children, and he felt he was forced to do it by his people, but Toriel still stands her point that he is a cold-blooded murder.
Chara[]
Chara, wanting to kill themselves in a dystopian human society, found comfort living with the Dreemurrs but grew fixated on empowering monsters. So they ate some nightshade, and died after they went outside with Asriel, leaving them possessing Flowey.
Asriel[]
Asriel, the offspring of Asgore and Toriel, planned an escape with Chara, resulting with a confrontation with humans. His efforts to protect the dead body of Chara in the face of humans ultimately led to him becoming weak and dying. This also caused him to possess Flowey with Chara.
