The Great Detective Papyrus Mysteries is an AU that places the cast of Undertale in a (very rainy) noir detective setting, with the detective duo of Papyrus and Undyne as its main characters. The story consists of 2 large books and 3 shorter stories, and is written by 2 different authors.
The first book, Kidnappings in the Early Evening, follows the case of the stolen body of Mettaton, a case that turns out to go deeper than initially thought. Its sequel, Murder with a Side of Lies, takes place a few days later, when something unheard of happens: A monster murdering another monster. In this case, Papyrus' and Undyne's attorney skills will have to shine, as it brings them from the streets into the courtroom. And in both cases, Undyne is forced to confront her past.
Rather than cases, the short stories Sea Tea in the Rain and The Value in an Ending show the relationships between Undyne and Gerson, and Sans and Toriel respectively. The last story, Ghost Crime in the Streets, is a backstory on how the detective duo first met.

Papyrus' partner, a lover of rain who is addicted to smoking. She struggles with her past as part The Family, a monster organisation ran by Asgore.

Papyrus' swindling brother, and judge during Murder with a Side of Lies.
Mettaton[]
A celebrity among monsterkind, who is the detective duo's client in Kidnappings in the Early Evening, and their adversary as prosecutor in Murder with a Side of Lies.
