Storyswap: Showtime! is a take on Storyswap where only the shifted characters swap. While the Protagonist role is taken by a different human, Frisk still exists and takes an original role.
Years before the story of SS: Showtime!, there were 2 skeleton families, the Asters and the Skeletons. After the war, the last ruler of the Asters, Empress Helvetica Aster, was executed by humans and (rightfully) blamed for escalating the conflict by monsters. Thus, the monsters decided to dethrone the Aster family, and Semi Skeleton, a war hero who fought side to side with Gerson Boom, was elected ruler.
Years later, W.D Gaster, the last descendant of the Asters built a powerful robot made for human eradication, Mettaton. However, when he showed it to the current king, Papyrus, he deemed it too dangerous and, not knowing a ghost possessed the machine, ordered Gaster to destroy it. When Gaster was taken into arrest for making devices that threatened monsterkind's safety, he tried to escape, but got killed in the progress.
In the garbage dump at the entrance of the old Semi City now lies the robot's broken and deactivated body. What's inside? A ghost hell-bent on revenge...

After being trapped in a deactivated body for many years, he grew a hatred towards king Papyrus.
Sans[]
One of the 2 kings of monsterkind, together with his brother Papyrus. He resides in the old Semi City to give the humans their judgement before they may proceed to the more populated areas of the Underground.
Undyne[]
Undyne went to Semi City to kill humans before they could do any harm to the rest of the Underground.
Asriel[]
Asriel is the son of Asgore and Toriel, and holds a deep secret.
Chara[]
Chara is the adopted child of the Dreemurrs, and the Royal Guard's second in command. She is a fanatic human hunter.

A cold tundra with only a few paths cutting through the emptiness.

A town located in the middle of the Frozen Wasteland.

The Steamlands[]
An industrial complex that heavily uses steam created when the lava below collides with the water flowing through the river connecting Overgrown Lake to function.
