Littletale

Littletale is an AU where most members of the Undertale cast are children around the age of 10 - 13.^[1] A few exceptions to this are Gaster, who is the single parent of Sans and Papyrus, and Gerson, who looks after Undyne as her caretaker. Minor monsters that come in numbers, such as Froggits, vary between keeping the same age and being made "smol".^[2] The AU consists of a bunch of short one-off comics and doodles, rather than following a coherent story.

Despite Asgore and Toriel still being children, and Asriel thus not being born yet, Flowey is still present, being from another timeline.^[3]

Characters[]

Toriel[]

Toriel is the caretaker of the Ruins. She named every Froggit and can keep them all apart.

Asgore[]

Asgore has a crush on Toriel, but he's too shy to tell her. He has royal parents, though they don't appear.

Undyne[]

Undyne is under the care of Gerson. She doesn't like being called cute (she's "totes rad"), and her eyepatch is just for cool points, not actually lacking an eye.

Alphys[]

Alphys still does science, and watches kids anime like Hamtaro. She tries to convince Undyne it's not real, though not with much success. She's cousins with Monster Kid, and they have a big family.^[4]

Sans[]

Sans is Papyrus's older brother, who loves pranks. While he's just very good friends with Toriel, Undyne thinks he loves her. He's also sort of friends with Grillby, and they often go burn things together.

Papyrus[]

He's the youngest of the main six, and Sans's little brother. He got into spaghetti due to an argument between Sans on Alphys on whether ketchup or noodles are better. He might have a crush on Frisk.

Gaster[]

Gaster is one of the few characters who stays the same age. He's a single dad, a big troll, and a bit too enthusiastic about Sans learning his magic.

One reason the AU came to be was the author's inability to draw most of Undertale's characters in adult size.^[5]
