Hopetale is an AU of Horrortale, even though the two AUs are basically the same, there are a few changes to the original AU. The author of Horrortale is Sour-Apple Studios, though the author of Hopetale is I write warrior cat stories 2.0 (That1Human).

Hopetale takes place during the time of Horrortale, though it is a completely different timeline. Everything is almost entirely the same, but instead of the main character, Aliza, having the supposed soul FEAR, she has the soul HOPE, which will come into effect later in the story.

Aliza is the grandchild of the human Frisk, who is her grandfather. After she falls down, her friends bring Frisk to the entrance of the Underground, and he asks her, if she comes across her, to say sorry to Toriel.
