Undertale AU Wiki

Welcome to the Undertale AU Wiki, the main place for documenting Undertale's AUs. If you wish to contribute, just know that it is REQUIRED for you to read the Rules and Guidelines and the Policy of the Wiki BEFORE doing so.

As this is an AU Wiki, this wiki is NOT meant for characters. The Undertale OC Wiki exists for those. This Wiki is also not meant for AUs that do not have presence anywhere else, and those should be put on the Undertale AU Ideas Wiki.

"Pacifist is Genocide
MERCY is FIGHT
Love is Hate"

– The motto of Fellswap Gold

Fellswap (also known as Fellswap Gold) is a combination between Underfell and Underswap (Underfell Swapped, rather than Underswap Fell-ified like Swapfell). It is set in the Cold-War era of the 20th century, and its setting is inspired by the totalitarian countries from that time, most notably the Soviet Union, as well as the book 1984 by George Orwell. Rather than "Kill or be Killed", monsters live under the rule of "Oppress or be Oppressed". While Undertale is a world where LGBT is fully accepted, Fellswap Gold is one where LGBT monsters are afraid to hold their hands, oppressing their true willings, even getting into jail just for telling their ideas, as the author lives in a similair situation[1].

Most of the swaps are the same as in Underswap, although Gaster (who instead is genderbent, together with his followers) and Riverperson, Onionsan and the Bird That Carries You Over A Disproportionately Small Gap and Shyren and Aaron do not swap with each other.

Trivia[]

  • Sans's and Papyrus's nicknames are Wine and Coffee[2].
  • The official version of the AU does not contain Fontcest, and any depiction of it is not canon, although the creator has said to "ship anything you like"[3].
  • Despite being the sole Fellswap page on the Undertale AU Wiki, the concept of combining Underfell and Underswap has existed since at least late 2015, with a post of woahlookatwords posted on October 25, while a post of DeviantArt post from MsCreepyPlagueDoctor on January 16 followed up by a short comic contains the first use of the actual name "Fellswap", currently showing the earliest references to use it without having it tied to Swapfell.
