Blizztale (or Blizzardtale) is an original alternate universe created by Levi Studios, 398utubzyt, and Squiggles. Currently, there is a written story and a video game being worked on for the AU.
This AU takes place after an aborted Genocide route and a successful True Pacifist route.
After the barrier was broken, a mysterious energy was unleashed granting all recipients of the seven human souls a special power. These are known as traits. Traits resemble a SOUL metaphorically.
Chara was brought back to life by a famous human experiment named the fallen soldiers' experiment, he was given a new soul named shallowness. Shallowness holds the trait "Frozen" which allows him to control all frozen states of objects.
The story follows as Frisk learns about his trait and how to use it, and the past of Chara, the first fallen human.

Frisk rocks a new purple jacket with a blue/white striped shirt. After coming back from the surface, he learns how to fight to defend himself from whatever monsters attack him. Before the Blizzard, Frisk lived with Toriel on the surface and was home-schooled by her. Currently, Frisk's biological mom is unaware that Frisk is alive. Frisk runs an alliance with Mettaton and others to stop Chara.
Frisk possesses a trait called "Heat" which allows him to control anything with a significant amount of heat, Frisk's trait also gives him flame armor in battle. This evolves during the battle, When it evolves the armor changes hues from orange to purple. Frisk accidentally killed Undyne with his flame armor which deflects attacks and went up to LV 2.

The first fallen human. Chara was killed and was sent into The Void and met W.D. Gaster there. Chara was the first test subject in the fallen soldiers' experiment. He was revived and started with his classic green/yellow and throughout the series, he changes to a new red hoodie and green/white striped shirt. Chara controls a Blizzard with his trait and is planning to freeze the earth and purge all of human life. Before the Blizzard, Chara was in The Void with Gaster and was revived during the experiment. Chara went on to create a plan on top of Mt. Sobbot.
When Chara was revived he was given a new SOUL dubbed "Shallowness". Shallow is a unique soul created by the fallen soldiers' experiment. Shallowness's trait is "Frozen" the trait has the ability to manipulate frozen objects and use them to create structures or freeze people.

"i decided i should write this part myself. heya kiddo. its me, sans. i'm sure as you all know i can travel through time and space. anyways. i'm back and wearing a yellow hoodie with a blue and white striped shirt. previously i was the underground's judge but now i'm a humerus comedian. my main role is comic relief but hey, if the authors want to write an arc for me that would be pretty slick. anyways, that's all thanks for listening to me break the 4th wall." - sans
Papyrus[]
Chef Papyrus is back, and with the same outfit, he had before. Papyrus is the number one most recognizable spaghetti chef, he owns his own restaurant named "Pappys Mighty Italian Spaghetti" somehow Papyrus made a fortune off his cheap spaghetti and is a millionaire. Papyrus creates amazing dishes for the alliance and trains with Undyne to learn combat and join the alliance's frontlines.
During Papyrus's training, he unlocked his own Gaster Blaster, dubbed the "Cool Blaster" similar to Sans's blaster his shoots an orange beam out of it, if both Gaster Blaster and Cool Blaster are put together they fuse to create the "Super Cool Gaster Blaster Ultra" or just "Mega Blaster" for short.
Undyne[]
Alphys's lover is back, wearing a new white/red set of armor! Undyne works in the military as a commander and trains her soldiers. She trains Frisk while he learns to control his trait, currently, she is in a relationship with Alphys. Undyne has been working with Alphys on a way to stabilize her undying form. Undyne also works as front lines and the commander for the alliance.
While training with Frisk Undyne was accidentally killed by Frisk's flame armor that deflects attacks. For some odd reason, the Undying form was not unleashed.
Alphys[]
Undyne's lover is back, wearing some goggles and her science coat. Alphys is the brains behind the alliance, she plays a big part in discovering the true potential of traits and SOULs. Alphys works at the W.H.O to help develop cures to human sicknesses. Alphys and Sans sometimes work together on a secret project, who knows what it is.
Mettaton[]
Mettaton is back and as exciting as ever! With some new moves, he is ready to lead the alliance to stop Chara. Before the Blizzard, Mettaton was the number one influencer on social media! Mettaton went on to write plays for Broadway and create music with Napstablook, but now he has to put all that behind him and fight to help stop Chara.
Toriel Dreemurr[]
Toriel is back in a blue dress instead of purple. Toriel has adopted Frisk and is her mother-like figure in his life. She also works as a teacher on the surface and runs a school. Toriel and Frisk have not talked to Frisk's biological parents. Toriel has divorced Asgore in the events of Undertale but is on good terms with him she has been taken on high protection by Frisk's alliance.
Asgore Dreemurr[]
Asgore is back in some snazzy Hawaiian shirts and shorts. Asgore has decided to open a greenhouse to grow plants, he also owns a tea shop alongside his greenhouse, he tends to keep his genocidal past behind him. Asgore has also joined Frisk's alliance with Undyne and Papyrus on the frontlines, he also creates tea to go along with Papyrus's spaghetti.
Asgore also currently is guarding the six human souls from the underground. No one knows they still exist, if the information were to be released about them, a war would be declared.
W.D. Gaster[]
W.D. Gaster or just Gaster is an entity found in The Void. He watches over the humans who have fallen into the underground. Gaster has forgotten who he was in his past life, he met Chara in the void and came up with his name then. Something keeps disturbing him during his semi-slumber.

Surface[]
The surface is completely the same in this AU and is where Frisk and everyone else takes place before the blizzard. Half of the surface contains the cities and half contains suburbs.
Underground[]
The Underground is back and is the home base to Frisk and Mettaton's alliance. The barrier has been replaced with another barrier similar to a door. Only monsters and humans can enter. Only a certain kind of human can enter, ones with the SOUL of "Determination".

When Chara was revived she was given a certain SOUL named "Shallow", this SOUL allows Chara to control anything frozen. Chara takes to Mt. Ebott's counterpart Mt. Sobott to plan out his invasion. Legends say the top of the mountain leads to a new realm.
The Void[]
The Void is a state of death and life, this is where someone goes if their physical form is destroyed but their SOUL is kept alive. It is pitch black in the void, there is a mysterious man there too.

Concepts[]
Whenever a character is killed their SOUL is completely destroyed. However, during the war between races, humans would take their dying soldiers, and right before they die store their souls. During the events of Undertale humans experimented with the fallen soldiers' SOULs and found a way to revive themselves after death.
- It is known Chara was the first test subject and the only test subject.
- In order to revive someone, you must use the seven human SOULs.
- Only humans can be revived with the seven human SOULs.
- Every time someone is revived they are granted a completely new soul. Example would be Chara and "Shallowness"
SOULs have developed certain magical abilities after the barrier was destroyed. For example, the SOUL "Shallowness" (custom SOUL) means to be a shallow person and most often a cold one too. So for the SOUL "Shallowness" users would be able to control anything frozen. Determination has a fiery passion to continue, people who have Determination are able to use flames and heat to their advantage.

- Frisk originally was supposed to have a white/blue striped shirt but was changed due to another AU having the same outfit.
- Sans was originally supposed to teach Frisk how to use his trait, not Undyne.
- No, Steven Universe was not in any way an inspiration for Frisk's design.
- Blizztale was originally going to be named "Underquest" from an AU that was planned and scraped back in 2018 by Levi Studios.
- Chara's soul was not lost during the events of Asriel's death. Instead, it was collected by humans to experiment with. This lead to the fallen soldiers' experiment.
- Both Frisk and Chara are male in this AU.
- Frisk is 13 and Chara is 14 (not counting the years Chara was dead for).
