Afterthought is a short comic for a Halloween special created by Fatal_Error-blog. Fatal_Error was invited to a Halloween event in the Naturetale AU, and they decided to tell creepy stories. He decided to tell a Creepypasta story about a Sans, Afterthought, who is neglected, hated, and deemed as a "failed" creation of a lonely immortal witch that can't die naturally. All Afterthought wanted was to be accepted as the witch's friend, after all, that's what he was created for.

Characters[]

Fatal_Error[]

Fatal_Error serves as the storyteller of Afterthought, as he tells the tale about the skeleton to other AU Sanses and Papyrus that invites him on a Halloween trip in their AU. He dresses up as Monika of DDLC.

Afterthought[]

Afterthought is the central protagonist turned tritagonist of the story. Fatal_Error has told the others that Afterthought was created by an immortal witch that can't die naturally and is lonely. Thus, the witch sets out to create a friend who can have eternal youth like her, stay and be comfortable for the rest of her eternity.

She began to slaughter random people and use their body parts to create a friend, and that's how Afterthought was born.

Afterthought was hoping to be the witch's friend. But, the witch saw him as a "failed" creation and continued to slaughter many people to take their body parts from years of witnessing massacre after massacre. Afterthought began to feel desperate and slowly became depressed because of the neglect of his creator. He kept on trying to earn her trust through those years and hopefully could build a friendship, but the witch was always so focused on her work that she didn't care or know how he felt. This later made Afterthought snap as he grabbed the witch's pair of magical scissors and sliced her for revenge. Afterthought afterward felt immense regret for doing so, but at the same time, he also felt happy. Fatal_Error has mentioned that Afterthought till this day roams as a being with latent selective visibility to almost every living being in his universe, which he would hope that some can help him one day. However, there are limits in doing so, as Afterthought isn't entirely patient for the wait.

The Witch[]

The Witch serves as the central tritagonist and also the primary antagonist to Afterthought. She is known to be an immortal human of unknown origins, who wields a pair of oversized scissors implied to have magic powers and traveled across the world alone with no one by her side. She was lonely and desperate until a twisted thought struck her mind. She eventually thought that if she could create a friend by using the body parts of humans, she could make a friend, and as a result, she created a "Sans" who had the same personality and almost the same appearance as Blueberry/Underswap Sans. However, the Witch didn't care or like it because she wanted a human friend with eternal youth like her, not a monster that can live forever. She neglected Afterthought afterward for years without knowing how much loneliness he felt inside of him for those years, until one day, she rudely spoke out that Afterthought's feelings and thoughts didn't matter because he wasn't even meant to exist in this world, with these words, she truly shattered Afterthought's senses in million of pieces to the point where he completely snapped and murdered her.
