Storyshift

Storyshift(ストーリーシフト)は、Reddit上でvoltrathelively氏によって作成されたAU。Underswapと同様に、元の人格を維持しながら、一部のキャラクターが他のキャラクターと立場が入れ替っている。Storyshiftがユニークなのは、キャラクター同士がペアになって他のペアの役割に「シフト」していること。また、オリジナルのUndertaleにひねりを加えたストーリーなど、いくつかの変更がある。

Storyshiftは、voltra氏の考えによっては他のシフトになる可能性があると言われている。シフトは、次のシフトに進む前に中立、平和主義、ジェノサイドのルートが表示される。フリスクを除く10人の「主要な」キャラクターだけが、別のルートで変更されない限り、その役割がシフトされ維持され続ける。

旧設定の頃のオリジナルのStoryshiftコミックは2015年12月から2016年12月まで、2017年4月に無期限の休止状態になるまで連載されていた^[1]。しかし同年7月、Storyshiftがリブートされ新設定となり、オリジナルと同じコミック形式で復活することが発表された^[2]。同年12月、リブートコミックの第1部が公開されたが、数日後には残りの部分は公式に取り消され、リブートはノベル形式で継続されることとなった^[3]。N、P、Gルートの全てが投稿予定。

PrebootとReboot[]

Preboot版[]

いわゆる旧バージョン。キャラの服が緑のパーカーの頃である。現在の公式ではない。スプライトコミックは辛うじて完結しており、原作に近い要素も多かった頃。最終的にRebootが決定され、この頃のデザインや設定は公式ではなくなっている。ファンの間ではこちらがよく知られている(例:Bad Time Trioなど)。この頃の設定などの詳細はStoryshift/Prebootで解説している。

Reboot版[]

新バージョンである。原作Undertaleよりも異なる要素が強くなっている。スプライトコミックではなく小説作品となり、現在も制作が続いている。遺跡やスノーフルなどの原作のロケーションも変更されており、Solor Warriorsや好奇心のソウルなどといった新たな要素も加わっている。入れ替わっていないキャラクターも変更がなされている。詳細はStoryshift/Rebootで解説している。
